Giant hippo heralds start of Totally Thames festival
A 21-metre wooden hippopotamus was towed up the Thames through the centre of London on Tuesday to mark the start of Totally Thames, a month-long river festival.

Totally Thames is the new name for The Mayor's Thames Festival, the long-established September celebration of all things river related.
The giant hippo – created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman – will be exhibited throughout the month at Nine Elms.
