Women’s and girls' rugby programme launched at Archbishop’s Park

As a part of an ongoing drive to increase rugby activity in South London, Surrey Rugby and its partners are launching a weekly women's and girls' rugby programme based in Archbishops Park.

The sessions will take place every Sunday between 2pm and 4pm and will be split into girls and women's sessions.

All abilities are welcome and beginners will be given support by a group of talented professional coaches who have been especially recruited for the project.

All that participants need are a pair of training shoes and the sessions will take place on the new artificial grass pitches at the park.

The Lambeth Rugby Partnership is already offering O2 Touch rugby at the same venue on a Wednesday evening and is introducing rugby to a number of local schools as well as working with The Black Prince Trust and its partners in Kennington.

The borough of Lambeth has a population of 330,000 people with no permanent rugby clubs or facilities.

There's no need to register before attending a session but more information is available by emailing [email protected] or by checking the Lambeth Rugby social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
